Protalix was buoyed by the news that its late-stage trial for its Gaucher disease drug met its primary endpoint. Researchers reported that patients taking Uplyso demonstrated a significantly smaller spleen volume. Patients with the rare enzyme disorder also had smaller livers and higher hemoglobin levels after taking the drug.
