Pozen shares sink on new demand for data
Shares of Pozen sank about 10 percent this morning after it announced that the FDA had asked for more data on the migraine drug Trexima--a combination of sumatriptan and naproxen sodium--before it can be approved. The Trexima application had already been found wanting last June. This new warning came after the agency found the company's response insufficient. Pozen says it will submit more information by the end of the year, but adds that it feels the data already demonstrates the drug's superiority to sumatriptan.
