Pfizer's Champix gains priority review status
Pfizer's closely watched smoking cessation drug Champix has been granted a six-month priority review by the FDA. According to Pfizer, the number of people who die from smoking-related illnesses is set to climb from 5 million to 10 million a year by 2020. The potential market for Champix is huge, as only 7 percent of smokers can quit on their own.
