Pfizer rejects link between Viagra, blindness
Following last month's report by the FDA that 38 Viagra users had gone blind as the result of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, Pfizer reported that a review of all post-market optic events demonstrated that Viagra users were at no increased risk of going blind. While the agency has found no causal link between blindness and Viagra, Pfizer has agreed to report the cases on its label in order to keep physicians and patients informed.
