Axe the CEO's. Lazy greedy top line people should go first !!!!!
Create a union and bring the company to a complete stand still - demand the jobs stay in the U.S..
As with Merck and other Pharma companies the solution to the problem is layoffs at the grass roots level only to be replaced with R&D in the emerging markets. Cheap labor drives the sgenda for the American corporation. We spent so much time and effort bringing students from the developing world to America and educating them only to have them take the know how back to their coutries. This is the same senario in the financial sector which is seeing many of it's foreign talent educated in the U.S. now run back and and start enterprises in their countries to sell back to America.
Investors want profits at any cost and the public want cheap drugs. The CEO's want big stock options and salaries. What is missing here. Where is all this talent going to go?? It's time to purge the cancer that keeps growing that got us into this mess and that is the leadership of these corporations. Let get the people at the grass roots come up through the system to lead us into the future with durable solutions. The time of the CEO has passed time to set up management teams that have their ear to the ground. We need solutions and creative thinking not layoffs and purging of talent. Mr.CEO are you listening!
