Novartis has filed for European approval of Galvus, a once-daily therapy for Type 2 diabetes. The drug targets a pancreatic dysfunction that causes high blood sugar. Galvus is one of Novartis' biggest drug hopes. It was filed for FDA review in March with data on more than 5,400 volunteers.
