Novartis is touting new studies that underscore that its Exelon patch is as effective as capsulated meds for treating Alzheimer's while patients report higher tolerance levels for the new delivery method. The Exelon patch is the first transdermal approach to treating Alzheimer's. Researchers cited new studies that show patients taking Exelon through a patch recorded three times fewer incidents of nausea and vomiting.
