A joint venture matching Eli Lilly and ICOS announced that a Phase II trial of Cialis showed that it could help reduce symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland in men. The trial focused on the experiences of 250 men suffering from the effects of an enlarged prostate. The patients taking Cialis reported a statistically significant reduction in symptoms, including less difficulty urinating. Men taking the active ingredient in Cialis had a 2.8 improvement in symptoms compared to a 1.2 improvement among patients taking a placebo. More data will be released at an upcoming medical conference.
