Responding to the economic conditions that are causing problems for so many biopharmas, PA-based preclinical software provider Instem announced that it will provide a "stimulus package" to companies that use its Provantis PreClinical Solution Online during 2009. Istem is delaying most of its normal subscription fees for at least 12 months for up to 25 users per organization, and won't require long-term commitments. The deal is open to new clients of Instem.
"Prospective clients find themselves in a classic 'catch 22 situation.' They tell us they need to deploy Provantis to meet operational efficiency improvement targets or, as a CRO to meet sponsor expectations, but their capital and operational budgets are [quite rightly] being tightly controlled during 2009," comments Phil Reason, CEO at Instem. The program will close on July 31.
