Gene Logic cuts jobs at struggling genomics division

Gene Logic is cutting 80 jobs at its struggling genomics division, saving about $8 million a year in expenses. The division, which has been performing poorly, provides access to gene and toxicogenomics databases. The division has been undergoing an internal evaluation, and there's no guarantee that there won't be more layoffs in the near term.
