FDA study: More women in clinical trials

Although males are still the majority in most phase I and II trials, the proportion of women in clinical trials has improved, according to research conducted by the FDA. But researchers say more should be done to monitor the effect of gender on efficacy, adverse events and pharmacokinetics. Report

Its about time, but what about some attention given to minorities in clinical trials. This has been long overlooked. Drugs are routinely approved when they have not been tested in the population that they will be used. Perhaps we need to focus on the entire U.S. population before sending resources and money oversease!
