FDA approves Lipitor for high-risk cardio patients

The FDA has given five new approvals for Pfizer's blockbuster Lipitor, with its sanction for reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes and for heart surgery. Originally approved as a cholesterol-lowering drug, Lipitor is now approved for high-risk cardiovascular patients. It's a big market.
