Epix Pharmaceuticals to halve workforce

Epix Pharmaceuticals announced that it will cut it's staff by half, from 93 to 48. The cuts come after the company received a letter from the FDA requesting another clinical trial of its drug Vasovist, a blood-pool contrast agent. The reductions will affect both the R&D and the general and administrative areas of Epix.
