Diatos in-licenses cancer drug from Gilead
French biotech Diatos has in-licensed the cancer drug DaunoXome from Gilead Sciences, agreeing to pay up to $4.7 million plus royalties for the worldwide rights to the therapy. Diatos plans to file for European approval to use the drug for acute myeloid leukemia. The drug is used to treat AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma. Earlier this year it was reported that Diatos, a 2004 Fierce 15 company, was preparing an IPO to raise up to $64 million.
