Codexis garners $37M in fourth round

Codexis has raised $37 million in its fourth round of venture capital. Much of that money will go to financing a new research and development arm in Singapore that will support its work in generics. The R&D unit is expected to hire up to 80 people. Singapore's Bio*One Capital, an aggressive biotech lender, led the round of the Redwood City, CA-based biotech. Codexis says it plans to add $3 million more in fourth round capital in the coming days.
