Clinton Foundation hammers out deep discounts for AIDS drugs, tests

Former President Bill Clinton's foundation has negotiated significantly lower prices for AIDS tests and drugs. A group of four companies has agreed to provide HIV tests at a cost of 49 cents to 65 cents apiece while another group of drug makers will offer the AIDS drug efavirenz for a discount price of $240 per year. The William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation has been brokering prices between drug makers and some 50 lesser-developed nations.
