Cephalon wins approvable letter for new ADHD therapy

The FDA has issued an "approvable" letter for Cephalon's new version of its narcolepsy drug as a treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children and adolescents. Cephalon has teamed with McNeil-PPC, a unit of Johnson & Johnson, to market Sparlon, a new form of Provigil, for children aged six to 17. Cephalon hopes to get started next year, provided final approval comes in time.
