Cephalon has reported that the company's chairman and CEO Frank Baldino died last night. Baldino, who had been on leave since August, helped co-found Cephalon in 1987. The company did not say what disease led to his death. COO J. Kevin Buchi has been handling day-to-day duties since the CEO went on leave, and a Cephalon spokesperson told Bloomberg that the company would not be publicly discussing the search for a replacement.
