Canadian biotechs short on cash

A study conducted by BIOTECanada found that half of the country's biotech firms don't have enough money to last through the year; a quarter more said they lack the funds to even survive the first six months of 2009. The group hopes that the finding will convince the federal government to allocate additional support for the industry in its future federal budget. Report
