Canada readies efforts to curtail drug traffic

Canadian officials say they're preparing to unveil new proposals that would put the brakes on the sale of drugs south of the border. One possible change would be to prevent Canadian doctors from signing a prescription for a patient they hadn't seen. That would be a big win for US drug companies, which have been lobbying hard to kill off the flow of less expensive Canadian meds to US customers.
