Azilect data points to Parkinson's efficacy
Teva Pharmaceutical is touting the results of a late-stage study of Azilect, a treatment for Parkinson's disease. Researchers say the therapy hit all of its goals in the ADAGIO trial. Patients taking a once-daily oral dose of the drug reported a slowing of disease progression early on in the trial with a reduction in symptoms at a later point in the trial. The drug is already approved for treating symptoms of the disease, but Teva is looking to add an approval for disease modification.
