ActivBiotics and Metaphore Pharmaceuticals have announced a merger agreement. The merger, set to close by the end of December or early January, would make Metaphore a wholly owned subsidiary of ActivBiotics and remain under that name. The companies will focuser on the therapeutic areas of infectious disease and inflammation. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
