KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals Files Registration Statement for Proposed Initial Public Offering
LOS ANGELES, May 17, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. ("KYTHERA"), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel prescription products for the aesthetic medicine market, today announced that it has publicly filed its registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock. KYTHERA previously submitted its registration statement to the Securities and Exchange Commission on a confidential basis under the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not been determined.
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Goldman, Sachs & Co. will act as joint book-running managers for the offering. Leerink Swann LLC will act as lead co-manager and Lazard Capital Markets LLC will act as co-manager.
