U.K.'s NHS awards $340K to develop several promising medical technologies

The U.K.'s National Health Service has awarded £240,000 ($340,000) to several med tech researchers. The bulk of the money went to support three devices: an innovative way of performing lung biopsies, so-called Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy for pediatric patients who are paralyzed on one side of the body, and a virtual fracture clinic for off-site consultation of complex X-rays.
