Symmetry Medical's ($SMA) Orthopedic Equipment Manufacturing Solutions business was acquired by Tecomet, a manufacturer of orthopedic implants, precision surgical instruments, trauma plates and photochemical etched products for medical device customers, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition makes Tecomet the largest orthopedic contract manufacturer in the world with 18 facilities located in 5 countries on three continents. The combined company will be known as Symmetry Surgical ($SSRG); shares of Symmetry Medical will cease trading and be delisted under the deal. Release
