PDOs or Ex Vivo Tumor Tissue Cultures? Choosing the Right Preclinical Model

Available on-demand
60 Minutes

Which preclinical model best reflects patient biology? Join us for this webinar as we compare patient-derived organoids (PDOs) and ex vivo tumor slice cultures, exploring where each model excels, where limitations arise, and how to choose the right approach for your translational research goals.

What you'll learn:

  • How PDOs and tumor slice cultures compare across critical factors, including tumor microenvironment fidelity, scalability, reproducibility, drug screening, and immunotherapy compatibility

  • How each model’s strengths and limitations impact translational applications and potential clinical predictivity

  • Key workflow considerations that can influence the performance and reproducibility of PDO and tumor slice culture models

  • Practical guidance on selecting the most clinically relevant model for your specific translational and drug discovery needs
