Chutes & Ladders: ImClone CEO Lynch resigns

ImClone CEO Daniel S. Lynch announced his resignation on Thursday. Lynch had been CEO since April 2003, when he replaced Harlan Waksal. Harlan's brother Sam held the top position until he became embroiled in the Martha Stewart insider trading scandal. The company's executive vice president and chief scientific officer, Dr. Philip Frost, will fill Lynch's position while the board of directors considers possible candidates. A spokesperson for ImClone refused to comment on the reason for Lynch's resignation.
