Ritu Baral

Ritu Baral first joined Canaccord Adams as Senior Research Associate in Biotechnology in August 2007. She has over seven years of experience in biotechnology finance, including over 3 years in biotechnology equity research. Previously, Ritu was biotechnology equity research associate at JMP Securities and before that was a Senior Associate at the Trout Group, a biotechnology focused investor relations agency. Prior to this, Ritu was a research associate at Columbia University's Department of Medicine where she participated in neuroendocrine research focused on appetite and metabolism regulation, and completed graduate coursework in Immunology. Ritu graduated with a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Barnard College

Adam Cutler

Adam Cutler joined Canaccord Adams as a Managing Director and biotechnology analyst in August 2007. Prior, Adam spent more than six years in the equity research departments at Banc of America Securities and JMP Securities following the biotechnology industry. Adam previously served as Director of Business Development at FamilyonCall, a healthcare Internet startup and worked at The Frankel Group, developing strategic plans and marketing initiatives for companies and advising venture capitalists on early-stage life sciences investments. Adam began his career as part of Ernst & Young's healthcare consulting practice. Adam received a BA in economics from Brandeis University, minoring in law, medicine and health policy.

George Farmer

George Farmer joined Canaccord Adams as Principal of Equity Research in Biotechnology in October 2008.  George brings an extensive range of experience, including more than eight years in the equity research departments of Wachovia Securities and Fortis Securities covering the biotechnology industry.  Prior to his career as an analyst, George spent 14 years working at several preeminent academic and pharmaceutical institutions focusing on cellular and molecular biology research. George graduated with a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Columbia University and a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Dartmouth College.
