Roche's Bina wins competition for cancer-detecting algorithms

Roche's ($RHHBY) Bina Technologies has claimed first and second place in a competition to find the best algorithms for identifying cancer-associated mutations. Bina's algorithm for the detection of small insertions and deletions placed first in its class in the DREAM Mutation Calling Challenge, while its somatic single nucleotide variant tool took second in its subcategory.
