Rho seeks 30 new hires after bumper year

Private CRO Rho is looking for a swath of new staffers after a strong 2015 that saw it gain new contracts and returning clients.

The Chapel Hill, NC-based company wants to take on 30 new hires and is looking specifically for clinical research associates, although it has other open positions as well.

When completed, it will increase the midsized company's workforce by about 8% to 400 employees, up from about 350 two years ago, according to the Triangle Business Journal.

"We are in a massive hiring phase right now," explained Kay Lowery, service leader, human resources, adding that these are not short-term positions. "We hire for the long-term."

Rho gets about half of its business from federal contracts and last year won a $120 million federal contract with the NIH.
