Oracle is bringing Siri-like speech recognition to clinical trials

Oracle ($ORCL) is bringing speech recognition technology to clinical trials through a partnership with a company that helps power the iPhone's virtual assistant, Siri. The speech recognition specialist, Nuance Communications ($NUAN), licensed technology to Apple ($AAPL) in 2009 for use in Siri. Now it is working with Oracle to integrate its cloud-based medical speech recognition technology into eClinical software like electronic data capture (EDC) tools. Release
