Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is opening a new Center for Embryonic Cell and Gene Therapy to study experimental treatments for Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and a range of other conditions caused by diseased or injured cells in the human body. The center will be led by OHSU embryonic stem cell researcher Shoukhrat Mitalipov, who in May 2013 reported a potential breakthrough in human stem-cell line cloning in the journal Cell. Release
