Kansas City CROs form alliance to attract outsourcing work to region

Kansas City may be better known as one of America's barbecue destinations, but the city is developing itself as a destination for outsourcing. The Kansas Bioscience Authority has launched BioResearch Central, which includes more than 90 local CROs and related service providers, in a bid to attract companies to fulfill their outsourcing needs in the greater Kansas City area. "The greater Kansas City region is a proven destination for pharmaceutical research looking to advance their products through the development process," said Terry Osborn of KCAS Bioanalytical Laboratories in Shawnee, KS. "CROs have contributed to the success of an array of innovative healthcare products, and the establishment of BioResearch Central will undoubtedly support more innovation, job creation and economic growth in Kansas City's healthcare community."
