ACRO decries TV portrayal of clinical trials

In a YouTube message from Vice President John Lewis, ACRO refutes what it calls "the entertainment industry's assault on medical research." Citing ads and TV shows that use terms like "test monkeys" and "guinea pigs" to refer to trial subjects, ACRO says the media play fast and loose with their understanding of the well-regulated world of clinical trials, and that employing those phrases offends and diminishes the researchers who study drugs and devices.
