Amgen to consolidate its digital patient engagement systems under Deloitte banner

Amgen has tapped Deloitte to build the foundation of its global digital patient services strategy.

Deloitte will use its cloud-based ConvergeHEALTH Patient Connect platform to consolidate and link the big pharma’s disparate patient services to provide a single, connected engagement system.

"In a complicated, and increasingly difficult-to-navigate healthcare environment, patient-centric services are critical to ensure patients that need Amgen therapeutics are supported in their individual journeys," said Claes Hornstrand, Amgen’s VP for U.S. value and access, in a statement.

The platform includes connected apps and devices aimed at providing digital therapy and disease management, alongside supporting healthcare professionals’ delivery of care. It also offers analytics of treatment outcomes and real-world evidence, and aggregates data from multiple sources.

As Amgen continues to work on treatments for different diseases, Deloitte will help configure its system to better coordinate care.
