Zimmer ($ZMH) is spending €51 million to create a new orthopedics manufacturing facility in Galway, Ireland, that will result in 250 new jobs over the next 5 years. The facility will also host an education facility for doctors. Zimmer currently employs 350 people in Ireland. "Zimmer has had a very positive experience of doing business in Ireland. We are looking forward to building on the success of our Shannon operation by expanding in Galway," said Adrian Furey, general manager for Zimmer Ireland. Story
