Wearable devicemaker Misfit Wearables unveiled its developer toolkit to encourage the creation of apps that link to its products. Thirty companies have said they will use the kit, including many developers of health and wellness apps. Other corporate partners include Coca Cola ($KO) and Walgreens ($WAG). In another sign of its intentions, Misfit recently hired hired former Apple ($AAPL) senior engineering manager Josh Bank as its vice president of hardware. Story
