Volcano nudges revenue higher in Q2, but swings to a loss

Volcano ($VOLC) grew its 2013 second-quarter revenue to $101.3 million, a 6% hike over the same period last year. But the California maker of intravascular imaging, diagnostic and therapeutic devices lost $2.4 million, due in part to costs relating to a 2012 debt offering. Volcano said it experienced double-digit sales gains in its fractional flow reserve disposables business in Europe and Japan in particular. And Volcano noted its intravascular imaging revenue met expectations. Item
