Vascular Pathways names new CEO and location

Vascular Pathways has named a new CEO and headquarters. Eugene Starr, who previously headed Ventec International and Conmed's electrosurgery division, has been named CEO and president of the company, which will move cross-country to Naples, FL.

"Dr. Amir Belson and his colleagues have developed a truly novel product[,] which has the potential to vastly improve patient care. I believe that the company has tremendous growth potential, and I am delighted to be part of the team that will make RIVS a success in this large and important market," Starr says in a release. The company, currently based in Los Altos, CA, primarily creates peripheral intravenous access devices. Its lead product, the Rapid IntraVascular Start (RIVS) catheter has already been FDA approved.
