Two new healthcare VC funds with $225M to spare are on the horizon

Boston's HLM Venture Partners is raising $150 million to create a fourth fund. Noteworthy HLM portfolio companies include Tandem Diabetes Care, maker of an innovative insulin pump, and Medicalis, which aims to help radiologists through software for workflow and scheduling. In addition, Connecticut's HealthInvest Equity Partners has created a $75 million fund, focusing on healthcare. "The continued development of new technology, drugs and medical devices creates change in the standard of care in treating many illness and injuries," its website says.
