There has been a lot of talk in biopharma circles about the decline of venture capital funding. But as we can see from this report, there are medtech companies raking in cash.

What are the hot companies receiving top backing? It appears that many investors are favoring companies fighting diabetes--and with good reason. It's a disease that's spreading around the world, and four of the companies on this list are developing products to treat or monitor diabetes, as well as obesity, which often goes hand-in-hand with diabetes.
