Roche makes diagnostics headway with Bina Technologies acquisition

Roche ($RHHBY) is decking the halls with diagnostics acquisitions and Bina Technologies is the company's latest target. The Swiss company snatched up the DNA sequencing outfit for an undisclosed sum, getting its hands on Bina's Genomic Management Solution system, a next-generation tool that helps cut down time and costs associated with genomic sequencing. Roche will integrate the Redwood City, CA-based company into its Sequencing Unit and plans to work with Bina to beef up R&D and commercialization for its analytic tool.
