ResMed ($RMD) is fighting a nasty patent battle against Chinese medical device maker BMC Medical. ResMed, a maker of devices to treat sleep-disordered breathing and other respiratory conditions, alleges that BMC and its U.S. sales subsidiary 3B Products are violating patents involving at least four products. Through a legal action filed with the International Trade Commission and an amended complaint in U.S. Federal court, ResMed wants to stop the U.S. importation of these products and end the alleged patent infringement.
