Invendo raises $28M for its kinder, gentler colonoscopy

German medical device developer Invendo Medical has closed a round of €20.3 million ($28 million), led by a new investor, Xeraya Capital, to bring to market its single-use colonoscope. Xeraya joined existing investors TVM Capital, Wellington Partners, 360° Capital and the company's founders, as well as another new investor, an unnamed German family office. One year ago, Invendo announced U.S. market entry for its "gentle" colonoscopy device, following a special 510(k) clearance with the FDA. "We are building first installations and initial usage in the U.S.," CEO Bertoldt Hackl said in a statement. The company has U.S. offices in Garden City, NY. Release
