GE Healthcare Life Sciences ($GE) will locate its new U.S. headquarters in Marlborough, MA, hire at least 220 people and staff the facility with 500 employees. GE currently employs a few hundred people at two other facilities in metro Boston focused on biopharma manufacturing, plus bioprocessing and diagnostics, according to the Boston Globe. The division's new U.S. headquarters will house in vitro diagnostics, medical imaging, bioprocessing, research and life sciences services-related employees. Expectations are that the facility will open in spring 2015, and a $21 million investment will propel the construction. Story
