Fresenius beats back Baxter's patent suit

Germany's Fresenius ($FMS) won an appeals court ruling that shuts down Baxter's ($BAX) patent infringement claim over kidney dialysis machines. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office canceled Baxter's patent in the midst of the lawsuit, leaving no basis for the case and leading a federal court to toss the suit, Bloomberg reports. Story
