The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently finalized a change toughening the transparency promoting the Sunshine Act, designed to collection information on pharma and med tech payments made to doctors. The original Sunshine Act excluded reporting requirements for payments made to some speakers at a certified continuing medical education event, but that is no longer the case.
