CFDA reports 18% increase in medical device adverse events in China

The China Food and Drug Administration reported an 18.6% increase in medical device adverse events. Out of the 41,018 adverse events reported, 98 resulted in deaths. Under a new policy that was recently announced to tighten regulation and increase patient safety, an increase in the frequency of a device's adverse events can lead to unannounced inspections. More
