Boston Scientific will move its global HQ

Boston Scientific ($BSX) will leave behind its long-time headquarters in Natick, MA, and consolidate operations at the company's nearby Marlborough campus. Plans call for the process to run from spring of 2013 through mid-summer 2014, at which time the company hopes to complete construction of an additional building at the new location. New CEO Mike Mahoney explained in a statement that the consolidation is meant to boost efficiency and collaboration, but also save money. It's the second big move announced since Mahoney took the CEO slot on Nov. 1. Earlier this week Boston Scientific announced it would jump into the renal denervation business, with plans to pay up to $425 million for Vessix Vascular, a 2012 Fierce 15 company. Item
