Becton Dickinson's ($BDX) diagnostics arm is shuttering a plant in Wisconsin and laying off more than 100 employees. The Wisconsin State Journal reports that the cuts will begin on Aug. 31 at BD's Monona plant, with a full closure expected by next June. BD's action is all about consolidation. Its diagnostics arm is based near Baltimore, and the plant closing means the company will consolidate operations there.
